Sports team water bottle engraving provides a way to create coordinated gifts, awards and recognition items using customer-supplied drinkware. For this Ottawa project, the client supplied multiple black Owala water bottles to be engraved with matching sports-themed artwork featuring OSU, 2009G Force Academy and 2026 MVP.
The same design needed to be reproduced consistently across all bottles, with matching size, alignment and placement. Laser engraving removed the dark exterior coating in the design area, creating permanent high-contrast artwork against the black finish.
What Did the Client Need Engraved?
The client wanted a matching set of customer-supplied Owala bottles engraved with the same sports recognition design.
The artwork incorporated several elements, including large OSU lettering, 2009G Force Academy, 2026 MVP and additional graphic details.
Because the bottles were intended as a coordinated set, the engraving needed to appear consistent from one item to the next.
What Was the Engraving Challenge?
Consistency was the main requirement for this multi-piece project.
The artwork contained both large lettering and much smaller text, so the complete design needed to fit within the available engraving area while keeping the important elements readable.
The same design also needed to maintain consistent dimensions and positioning across multiple cylindrical bottles.
This type of project requires more than simply engraving an individual name. It requires a repeatable production setup that can be used across an entire group of matching items.
What We Produced
We prepared the supplied sports artwork for laser engraving and engraved the complete design directly onto each customer-supplied Owala bottle.
The laser removed the exterior coating in the engraved areas to reveal the contrasting material beneath. No vinyl lettering, stickers or printed graphics were applied.
The same artwork, dimensions and general positioning were maintained across the set to create a coordinated appearance.
What Was the Result?
The finished bottles form a matching set of permanently engraved sports recognition gifts featuring the same OSU / 2009G Force Academy / 2026 MVP design.
The light engraving creates strong contrast against the black bottle finish, while consistent placement gives the complete set a unified appearance.
