Wooden wine box engraving provides a permanent way to add logos, branding, text or personalized artwork directly to a customer-supplied presentation box. For this Ottawa project, we laser engraved LCBO VINTAGES branding onto a wooden wine presentation box, creating a clean design directly in the natural wood surface.
The project required the logo and typography to remain clearly recognizable while being appropriately sized and centred within the large front panel of the box.
What Did the Client Need Engraved?
The project involved reproducing the LCBO VINTAGES design on a customer-supplied wooden wine box.
The artwork combined the LCBO name, larger VINTAGES typography and horizontal graphic lines. These elements needed to retain their relative proportions so that the finished engraving remained recognizable and visually balanced.
Because the available wooden panel was considerably larger than the artwork itself, placement was also important to avoid making the design appear either undersized or disconnected from the overall presentation box.
What Was the Engraving Challenge?
The main challenge was reproducing clean branding on natural wood while maintaining the proportions and alignment of the supplied design.
Wood is a natural material, so grain and colour variation can influence the appearance of laser engraving. The artwork therefore needed sufficient contrast and appropriate sizing to remain visible without overwhelming the presentation box.
The horizontal lines, smaller LCBO lettering and larger VINTAGES text also needed to remain properly aligned as a single composition.
What We Produced
We prepared the supplied artwork and laser engraved the complete LCBO VINTAGES design directly onto the wooden surface.
The engraving included the original typography and horizontal design elements, positioned as a coordinated graphic on the front panel of the customer-supplied box.
Unlike an applied label, sticker or printed graphic, the design was engraved directly into the wood surface.
What Was the Result?
The finished wooden wine box features permanent engraved branding while retaining the natural appearance and grain of the original wood.
The contrast created by the laser makes the LCBO VINTAGES design clearly visible without adding another material to the surface.
