Coach tumbler engraving is a practical way to create coordinated team gifts while still personalizing each item for an individual recipient. For this Ottawa project, the client supplied multiple blue YETI tumblers to be engraved as gifts for baseball coaches.
Each tumbler featured the same baseball-themed COACH artwork combined with an individual coach name, including Ryan, Neil, Jeremy and Adam. The project required consistent engraving across the complete set while adapting the personalized name on each tumbler.
What Did the Client Need for the Baseball Coaches?
The client wanted a coordinated set of personalized YETI tumblers rather than identical generic gifts.
Each tumbler needed the same overall COACH design, including a baseball incorporated into the artwork, while displaying the individual recipient’s name underneath.
This created a recognizable set of team gifts while ensuring that every coach received a personally engraved item.
What Was the Engraving Challenge?
Consistency was important because the tumblers were intended to be presented together as a set.
The artwork needed to maintain the same overall dimensions, position and visual appearance across multiple cylindrical surfaces. At the same time, individual names varied in length, requiring the personalized portion of each layout to remain visually balanced.
The baseball details within the artwork also needed to remain recognizable after engraving.
What We Produced
We prepared the baseball-themed artwork and laser engraved the COACH design and individual names directly onto the customer-supplied blue YETI tumblers.
The laser removed the exterior coating in the engraved areas, exposing the stainless steel underneath and producing a permanent contrast between the design and the original blue finish.
Each tumbler retained the same core design while receiving its own personalized coach name.
What Was the Result?
The finished set created coordinated personalized coach gifts with permanent, high-contrast engraving.
Using a common baseball design provided visual consistency across the group, while the individual names made each tumbler specific to its recipient.
The project also demonstrates how coach tumbler engraving can be used for multiple customer-supplied items when a team, club or group needs a consistent design with variable personalization.
